Project UC Davis Health and Wellness Center

Location Davis, California

Description The UC Davis Health and Wellness Center is approximately 75,000 sf on the University of California, Davis campus, located adjacent to the campus’s Activities and Recreation Center. The project provides primary care services, laboratories, health education and urgent care to students and faculty. The sitework included new surface parking and a loading and logistics back of house as well as a wellness garden. A green roof and a wellness garden included a stormwater basin and low water use landscaping, which were instrumental in achieving LEED Gold certification. This project was managed via a Construction Management-at risk process. The Health and Wellness Center received the 2012 ASHRAE Technology Award.


Project Lighthouse Community Charter School

Client Oakland Unified School District

Location Oakland, California

Description This project included a tenant improvement and seismic upgrade of two tilt up industrial office buildings and converted them into classroom space for a K-12 charter school in Oakland. The project was approximately 77,000 sf and added more windows for better daylighting into the buildings and access to a central courtyard. The courtyard included two play structures, one and a half basketball courts and new landscaping.


Project Chabot Elementary School

Client Oakland Unified School District

Location Oakland, California

Description Chabot Elementary School’s Multi-purpose building and Library and its courtyards were renovated, funded by a combination of the Oakland Unified School District’s Measure B and State School Construction Budget. The site included a new computer learning center and removed classroom portables scattered around the site. Its site included newly constructed stormwater swales and new asphalt repair and courtyard painting to facilitate a variety of play spaces for children of different ages. 


Project Las Positas College Child Development Center

Client Las Positas College

Location Livermore, California

Description The Child Development Center was a LEED Silver project that served the school administration, toddler and pre-school children. The building was roughly 20,000 sf and had a $10.2M construction budget. The project was designed to include open corridors so teaching students could observe classroom instruction. The buildings also opened up to the outdoors to encourage further child development. The project was fully accessible for toddlers and pre-school children. The project diverted over 95% of construction waste from landfills.
